Getting on track.

I have always heard that successful people are very organized. I would not say we are unorganized as a family but I can see where we can improve. I have come up with a tiny experiment that my husband I will try out for the month of June. I have made a chore list, yes a chore list. The list contains weekend projects that we are constantly procrastinating on and house chore/ cleaning. I am trying a new thing where I space out my cleaning chores. So I don’t spend my whole Saturday stressed trying to clean the house because I have “let things go”. Of course we still have our everyday small chores like dishes and laundry. My hopes are that this will remind us to get the big things done and in the long run give us more time to do the things we enjoy. Also, less stress.

As part of this month’s new chore list I have also scheduled time on my calendar every day to get myself on track. This includes going to bed every night by 9:30pm and getting up every day at 6:00am. I have time on my calendar to sit and wright for my blog.  Most importantly time for exercise, Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Last of all we have been getting crazy with eating out, so we will scale this back to one night a week. I am thinking Wednesday night will be best for takeout. Of cause this is flexible for when we want to go have dinner with friends.

Please stay tuned I will let you know how this method works for us!

Blackboard with weekly tasks.

Should I stay or should I go

It is always funny the way things work. My husband is a brilliant man, I am not sure where he stores all of the information he has in that brain of his. He has grown board with his current job where he has been for years. He has decided to move on and expand his knowledge. However, once you say you are leaving, everyone always wants to keep you.

Just something to think about!

Success is not a destination, but the road that you’re on. Being successful means that you’re working hard and walking your walk every day. You can only live your dream by working hard towards it. That’s living your dream – Marlon Wayans
